Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit Review

Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit

Nike just came out with the new Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit, so I'm having a look at the shoe and of course I took it out on a run to see how it performs.

First look of the shoe, the bottom part looks very big and rugged. It’s a nice looking shoe with a lot of great feeling material that looks like it would make for a comfortable running shoe.

There is a lot of foam at the heel for extra comfort, and the heel is extra wide for better stability. The material of the Flyknit upper is a nice and soft material that is stretchy to feel great around your foot.

Nike claims that the shoe has the softest and most responsive ride of all off their running shoes, so that is quite a claim, but looking at the amount of ZoomX foam in the heel of the shoe this could well be true.

The sole of the shoe not only looks really cool, but it’s also made to be durable, so you can take it on your long training runs and not worry about wearing out your shoes. It has nice grip even in wet or icy patches it does really well.

It’s not a light shoe, with 314 grams in a size 10 and has a heel drop of 9mm. The collar of the shoe is cushioned as well for extra comfort. So not just the bottom of the shoe but also the upper is designed with extra comfort in mind.

On my run I found that even though the shoe looks like a big shoe it doesn't feel like a big, heavy shoe. It's nice and comfortable and has a great cushioning to it. The soft ride that Nike promised has been delivered on.

I love some extra bounce in my shoes and I recently reviewed the Adidas UltraBoost 21, which has some great bounce to it, but I think the Nike Invincible Run might have one up on the UltraBoost.

The fact that it's a durable shoe and it has a soft ride makes it a perfect shoe for those long training runs. The extra weight doesn't bother me at all, it's still a light enough shoe and the stability and comfort just makes it a perfect shoe.
